THE 5 PILLARS OF GUARANTEED BUSINESS SUCCESS
BY DR GREG CHAPMAN
Amanda Ferry – Director GOOP
Dr Chapman has written this book divided into two key areas.
- The life cycles of a business
- Infancy
- Adolesence
- Growing Pains
- Maturity
- Decay
- The 5 pillars of guaranteed business success
- The plan
- Marketing strategy
- Business systems
- People systems
- You!
For any budding entrepreneur growing a small business or anybody that has ever grown and sold their business you will find yourself nodding (or crying) in agreement with nearly every aspect of this book.
However rather than providing a ‘road map’ for your business this is more a ‘how to drive the car’ instructions manual that is incredibly useful and lets you know how to slow the vehicle down, speed it up and ultimately get you to where you want to go. The where you want to go is up to you.
The key to this book for small business is that it inspires and shows you how to drive and really gives you the tools drive. Where you want to go is up to you. Take it for a test drive. Pointless having a map if you can’t reach your destination
I highly recommend this book for any small business owners and suggest that you get along to one of Dr Greg Chapmans Seminars.
This book should prove to be a very useful and practical guide to anyone going into business. It is also useful for those in business who may be wondering why their business is not growing or going in directions they want it to. Greg has personally helped me to set goals and to see what I needed to do to succeed in my business. He has managed to put those tools and ideas into a logical and easy to follow plan. The employment of a case study makes the book real and makes the theory explicit. I recommend his first book to anyone about to go or already in business.

Hi Greg,
Many thanks for the book you sent a few weeks ago. I have had a look through it and think it is very good – it feels more realistic and relevant to Australian small business than the Gerber stuff. Let’s hope it’s as successful! Congratulations anyway. I can see you are practicing what you preach.

As a voracious reader with a focus on Personal development and Business books, I must say I was impressed with Dr Greg Chapman’s book “The Five Pillars of Guaranteed Business Success”. What impressed me most was that it was very easy to understand and even easier to implement the many powerful strategies. Dr Chapman’s book has simple step-by-step instructions, that if followed, will definitely create the success you want for you business. It has been 5 Months since I first read this book and I am still implementing ideas and strategies from the book to the benefit of my business. It has helped immensely in creating a clear path for the future direction of my business. If you are a small business owner, you MUST get your hands on this book!

Hi Greg
Finished the book! Enjoyed it…left me wanting more! Especially like the Business Systems chapter. I will certainly be referring to sections of it for myself and in client discussion in the future.
Tony Fanfulla- Transform Business Systems
I read Greg’s book once and found it a real eye-opener. He seemed to be describing my business!
Straight away I read it again and was able to absorb much more information. I had had a vague sense that I wasn’t heading where I wanted to go, but before reading Greg’s book, I was not able to articulate that feeling.
Now I see the big picture, I know where I am, and can better see where I want to go, and how to get there. Thanks Greg.
Andrew Mack – Computer Tamers
Reading the pillars to success book made us come to a number of realisations and made us excited about the journey ahead. Michael is prioritizing his time more (brain surgery) to focus on the things that move us towards our goals. Reading the book has helped us to see where we are and begin to understand where we are going. Michael prioritizing has enabled him to see where the ‘brain surgery’ is in the business and has meant that he hasn’t been so worried if he hasn’t achieved the less important tasks.

I have actually finished the book now and have found it extremely interesting and inspiring. I have been on the website and downloaded the business resources and had a look. I now know what i have to do and Andrew and I are about to sit and do our goals with the help of the goals generator to then develop a business plan and take it from there.

Hi Greg,
I just wanted to let you know that I have just finished your book. I found it to be a great read and are currently using the Marketing and goal setting aspects of the book. I have read quite a lot of personal development books over the last 10 years and I found yours to be up there with some of the best of them.
As I neared the end of the book a phrase by Ivan Misner leaped off the page at me. I have known of Ivan from BNI as I have been a member of BNI since 2000. The phrase said “The secret of success is the uncommon application of common knowledge”. Then you have said “The secret to success is doing all the things we have discussed here, doing it in a highly disciplined manner and doing it very well”
It then occurred to me (stating the bloody obvious) that now I have learnt all the things that you have mentioned I should apply them. Derrrr!!!! I am now going to go back over the book page by page and will actually fill out the prompts that you have enclosed throughout the book.
Thank you for your book
